You have done all the hard work and got the medal, what now? My mistake that I use to make after a race is to rest for too long, I lose focus, family life takes over and I get out of shape. What I do know is to organise a program for the year, I usually do three competitions beginning, middle and end of the year. This also helps me to fit training around work and family life.
